Immunisations at Our Practice
Our practice offers a range of immunisation services for both adults and children, managed by our dedicated practice nurse. These services are available on Mondays and Fridays.
Types of Immunisations Provided:
- Influenza Vaccines: Essential for protecting against seasonal flu.
- Pneumonia Vaccines: Important for preventing pneumococcal infections.
- Childhood Vaccines: Comprehensive immunisations for children as per recommended schedules.
Procedure for Some Immunisations:
- Prescription Requirement: For certain vaccines, a prescription from a doctor is required before purchasing the vaccine from a pharmacy.
Travel Vaccinations:
- Travel Vaccination Management: Our practice nurses also handle travel vaccinations, which are often complex and may involve multiple consultations to ensure full coverage.
- Advance Booking: We recommend scheduling your travel vaccination appointments well in advance, ideally two months before your departure date.
- Non-Subsidised by Medicare: Please note that overseas travel vaccines and related advice are not subsidised by Medicare.
